Malachite Silver Ring

These beautiful rings are hand crafted by the Auroville Unit Aurosunshine. The silver (92.5) is melted in Auroville and the stones are carefully selected with an eye for detail, naturalness and purity.

The name is derived from the Greek "moloche", mallow, due to its leaf like green color. It is said to be the stone for the heart as it eliminates emotional blocks and stimulates love. The stone was praised and used by many with a particular association with female goddesses and child bearing (also known as the midwives stone). In South India the stone is known as being 'the stone for the kidneys'. It has also been suggested that it can strengthen the heart.
